- NEON reduces urease enzyme activity, allowing rainfall or irrigation to dissolve Urea fully into the soil and form ammonium.
- By keeping Nitrogen in the ammonium form, NEON reduces Nitrogen loss from leaching and denitrification.
- NEON slows soil bacteria from converting ammonium to nitrate (nitrification).
