After graduating from high school in South Africa, Nico completed two years of compulsory military training. In 1992, he completed his Agricultural training at the Potchefstroom College of Agriculture.

Nico owned and successfully managed his own agricultural retail business in South Africa between the years of 1994-2003. His primary focus was on the production of sugarcane, citrus, vegetables, litchis, mangoes, bananas and forestry. During this time, Nico also lectured agriculture students in nutrition and crop protection at the local College of Agriculture.

Nico and his wife, immigrated to Canada in 2003.  With the experience he developed over the past 22 years through horticulture and plant nutrition. He is uniquely qualified to educate other agronomists, progressive growers and top retailers.

Nico is currently a Regional Manager for ATP Nutrition Ltd. covering Northern Saskatchewan.
